Responsibilities
Lead the development of data products from conception to implementation, ensuring they meet business requirements and quality standards
Work closely with stakeholders, including Data Product Managers, Data Producers, and Data Consumers, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business goals
Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data products by implementing robust data quality measures and collaborating with Data Owners
Manage the entire lifecycle of data products, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Develop and maintain product roadmaps, prioritize features based on business needs, and manage the intake process for new product requests
Act as the primary point of contact for all communications related to data products, including updates, issues, and enhancements
Continuously evaluate and improve data products to ensure they meet evolving business needs and industry standards
A working knowledge of financial services and related back-office and middle-office functions
Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years of related experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in People management & Team Leadership
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a Data Product Owner or similar role in data management and product development
Ability to manage distributed teams with an employee/vendor mix
Demonstrate ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving strategic goals
Ability to facilitate educational and working sessions with stakeholders and users
Experience with supporting Enterprise Tools
Experience in managing technical projects and ensuring they align with organizational objectives
Ability to drive innovation within the team and encourage creative problem-solving
Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, and data governance
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience with data product lifecycle management and agile methodologies
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
Experience with SQL and Snowflake
Ability to assess completeness of requirements and readiness of data products
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in data management and product development
