Liaise with and oversee external counsel in the structuring, documentation and closing of new products
Collaborate with the General Counsel and business partners in the Product, Accounting, Operations, and Investor Relations teams in connection with new product strategy and development
Provide advice and counsel regarding regulatory issues in the private funds space, including those impacting private capital strategies
Qualification
Required
Experience or familiarity with underlying asset classes in which we specialize is ideal
Hands-on and detail–oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to combine substantive knowledge and experience with a practical approach designed to meet commercial objectives
Ability to be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment and contribute to new business initiatives and structures
J.D. from accredited law school
Minimum 5 years' experience working in a law firm or asset manager working with private funds and direct lending or private equity strategies
