Payroll Manager
Juno Search Partners is seeking a Payroll Manager for their client, a services organization. The Payroll Manager will oversee complex payroll operations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and union contracts while managing benefits administration and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities
Perform complex payroll processing for multiple employee types: weekly for union employees and bi-weekly for non-union and salaried staff
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all payroll operations while maintaining compliance with union contracts and labor laws, including implementation of wage scales and benefit provisions
Manage tax filings, deductions, benefits administration, and reporting requirements
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and provide solutions to payroll-related issues
Maintain detailed records and generate comprehensive payroll reports for leadership
Oversee time and attendance tracking systems and processes
Oversee the timekeeping equipment and setup, especially for new accounts
Oversee benefits administration and other employee records
Direct the maintenance of HRIS systems and employee records
Report and provide all data relating to the acquisition of a new union site or another vendor
Need to run reports to calculate dues and funds each month and pay through ESS System (need to verify all union employees and their amounts owed)
Responsible for reporting and paying remittance each month (need to verify all employees and input hours worked the prior month)
Handle audits; should occur every 3-4 years
UKG READY should be keeping track of union employees getting annual raises, pto, etc. – Make sure it’s happening
Super Admin (administer UKG Core and Time Mgmt.)
Responsible for approving all employees’ change request in UKG (ex. address change, name change, etc.)
Responsible for final approval of all managers’ requests for employees (ex. salary change, job site changes, etc.)
Responsible for updating and maintaining business rules, deductions, earnings, holidays, etc
Keep track of hardware, etc
ACA and EEO Reporting – verification and distribution of 1095-C’s to employees and verified by KAPtivate
EEO Reporting – due in May and verified by KAPtivate
Year End – W2’s, updating following year holidays, updating the following year payrolls. This process begins in October
Lead all human resources functions across the employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding
Develop and implement company-wide HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
Partner with HR Consulting firm on HR needs
Qualification
Required
5+ years of payroll processing experience
Keen sense of urgency
Highly detail oriented
Strong communicator, both written and verbally
Preferred
Union payroll experience highly preferred
UKG experience highly preferred
