Security Systems Specialist
SIMCO, LLC is managing and operating the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) and is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Security Systems Specialist. The role involves assisting in the administration of physical security systems, monitoring system performance, and providing troubleshooting support to ensure proper functionality of security systems.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Assist in the administration of physical security systems such as physical access control systems (PACS) and video assessment and surveillance systems (VASS)
Monitor daily system performance to ensure proper functionality
Assist end users in performing basic troubleshooting to restore functionality during system disruptions
Liaise with and support cognizant engineers or other technical experts to resolve issues which are beyond the scope of basic troubleshooting
Assist in developing training for end users, including providing demonstrations as necessary
Perform routine tests of security systems
Provide their supervisor and S&S management with information necessary to make decisions on compliance, significant issue resolution, and lifecycle sustainment
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, or
Associate's degree with four (4) years of professional experience, or
High School Diploma or Equivalency with eight (8) years of professional experience is required
Must be technologically proficient
Must be able to obtain and maintain a 'Q' Clearance
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances
Preferred
Active 'Q' Clearance preferred
Certification or experience with CCure 9000 System
