Eligibility Data Project Manager
UMWA Health and Retirement Funds is seeking a Project & Data Manager for Eligibility Services who will solicit and analyze requirements for data requests and projects. This role involves managing projects, collaborating with internal and external experts, and using data analysis to identify opportunities for improvements in eligibility services.
Responsibilities
Analyze information and data requests. Complete related research and ensure output for those requests is accurate. For external requests, analyze the requests and ensure the data provided to the parties fits the established protocol for protecting beneficiary data
Build and maintain reports and other data analytic tools. Work with reporting software or Systems staff to create new or ad-hoc reports. Ensure needed reports are successfully migrated during system and software conversions
Collaborate with functional areas on data-intensive tasks and projects, document business rules, and improve processes
Manage assigned projects. Collaborate with internal staff to identify requirements, draft project plans, and submit Requests for Proposals. Work with project team and vendor staff to develop and incorporate solutions. Provide training and support to staff on the solutions
Develop Business Requirements Documents, User Acceptance Criteria, Standard Operating Procedures, and other process mapping tools to illustrate current and desired states
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in benefit administration and project management to continuously improve processes and outcomes

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in employee benefits, data analytics, project management, or similar roles
Proven experience translating business requirements into data or technical solutions
Strong understanding of the administration of benefit plans, ERISA, Affordable Care Act, and related areas
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles that combine project management, data analysis, and benefit administration
Certification in Project Management, Agile methodology, or CEBS preferred
