Responsibilities
Participate in the summer legal internship program
Work under the supervision of attorneys in Mastercard’s law department
Gain exceptional experience, build relationships and exposure across a variety of practice areas
Receive training and feedback on substantive assignments
Engage in mentoring and professional development
Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices
Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
Report any suspected information security violation or breach
Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled as a 1st year law student and has completed their first year Before start of the internship, in June 2026
Demonstrated academic achievement and in good academic standing
Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Excellent interpersonal, team and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Have completed your first year of law school
Enrolled in good standing at an ABA accredited law school
Authorized to work in the United States
