Manufacturing Engineer

Kasai North America, Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will report to the Product Engineering Manager. The role involves identifying cost-saving opportunities, maintaining engineering documents, and supporting product trials and meetings.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for cost savings with the organization and communicate with inter-company personnel
Maintain various product engineering documents, drawings, files
Ensure accurate creation and distribution of component lists
Design, create and maintain bill of material functions
Identify potential issues that could affect the implementation of change and provide countermeasures
Support and attend all required customer and internal functional trials/meetings
Set schedule, identify priorities, and initiate action plans for requested design changes
Communicate status of changes to various internal and external customer groups
Examine specification documents and development plans
Compile pictures and drawings from customer-supplied documents and component lists for internal use
Attend meetings and provide support/documentation for various marketing and sales requests
Analyze product failure data and laboratory test results to determine causes of problems and develop solutions
Attend the trial activities facilitated by Quality and/or Engineering
Monitor material performance and evaluate material deterioration
Follow established work practices that support compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirements
Senior Product Engineer: Mentor new product engineers and PE technicians in engineering, department, and company responsibilities

Required

S. Diploma or GED required
1-3 years of experience as a P.E. Technician
Experience working with Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good organizational skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to travel with limited notice

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree with a concentration of course work in industrial technology, industrial or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
