Plan practices and oversee track meets
Mentor and instruct athletes in skill development, character development, and teamwork
Communicate relevant information regarding meets, practices, and other team commitments with parents/guardians
Support and foster the development of students with the ability and/or ambition to compete at the collegiate level, providing guidance and resources to help them succeed
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes to perform at their highest level, with a commitment to academic success and character development
Demonstrate a passion for their sport and for working with middle and high school-aged students
Demonstrate a commitment to an inclusive and equitable approach to all student athletes
Effective and responsible communication with students, parents, and colleagues
Demonstrate high standards of professional conduct with strong interpersonal skills to handle disputes, challenges, or conflicts that may arise among athletes
Adjust coaching methods based on individual athletes' needs, team dynamics, and changing circumstances
