Brightstar Lottery is an innovative global leader in lottery technology. They are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer I to support their Florida Operations team by performing hands-on testing, analyzing quality metrics, and ensuring solutions meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain test documentation, execute system tests, and manage test environments

Identify, log, and track defects to ensure system accuracy and performance

Mentor junior QA team members as needed

Independently manage most testing activities, with support available for complex scenarios

Collaborate with software development teams across locations to ensure quality standards

Contribute to the development of site-specific QA procedures, test plans, and checklists

Analyze data regularly to inform testing strategies and decisions

Engage frequently with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the Florida Lottery

Draft and review software specifications, RFSSs, and TIRs; assist in developing operational procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

2+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related discipline

Preferred

Familiarity with SEI, CMM, or ITIL frameworks is a plus
