They are seeking a Senior Engineer to support the development of optimization algorithms and client communication integration within their Microgrid control system OPERATE.

Responsibilities
Support the development, testing, and demonstration of new DER and Microgrid algorithm capabilities, especially in our Microgrid control system OEPRATE
Integrate new optimization features into our Microgrid control system OPERATE
Integrate OPERATE in client communication interfaces
Program APIs for communication between client and Xendee OPERATE
Engage with our clients and either lead their project modelling or support them on their modelling needs
Collect project data, use Xendee software technology, interpret results, and prepare client presentations
Qualification
Required
MS (preferable PhD) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar technical education) with experience in engineering science relevant to distribution grids, distributed energy resources, Microgrids, and optimization techniques
Profound experience in energy modelling and Microgrids, optimization techniques, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Experience in distribution systems and power flow modelling
Experience in programming with Python and optimization platforms
Experience in communication protocols as TCP/IP Modbus
Demonstrated ability to effectively conduct and perform in a collaboratively teamwork environment, and professionally interact with a broad range of partners and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to independently carry out work
Excellent organizational, analytical, and record-keeping skills
Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience in preparing both technical and executive level reports
