Stretcher Operator
Howmet Aerospace is focused on converting specialty metals into value added extrusions for the aerospace and defense industries. The Stretcher Operator will be responsible for operating the hot stretch machine while adhering to safety and quality protocols.

Responsibilities
Assists in set-up, operation and maintenance of Hot Stretch Straightening machine and preparatory operations related to it
Reads and understands operation process sheets, tooling instructions, blueprint features and basic manufacturing principles
Follows all processes provided for production and works with supervision and engineering for improvements and modifications
Provides production work as required to maintain schedule
Reads and understands all required measuring and testing equipment required for the job
Responsible for work performed and the inspection of such work
Ensures parts received are not damaged and checks for completeness of paperwork. Also ensures that parts leaving area have been completed
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
A minimum of 3 years' experience of machine operation in a production environment
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred
A minimum of one year of Hot Stretch Straightening experience in a production environment
Must be able to obtain an in-house mobile equipment certification, including use of forklift and boom lift
Experience with conducting general maintenance on equipment or experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints
Experience using a computer to enter and track data
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays, weekends, and overtime
Physical Demands: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs
