Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Test Engineer / Principal Systems Test Engineer to support the Sentinel program. This role involves maintaining the operation of multi-user computer systems, recommending system enhancements, and overseeing test activities for requirement verification and validation.

Responsibilities

Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
Integration of IP based devices into networks architecture. Will also support configuration, troubleshooting of devices / network
Work within and across teams to support and coordinate daily integration activities
Execute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues
Coordinate integrated testing activities
Oversee test activities in support or requirement verification and validation

Required

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of Engineering experience, Masters with 0 years of experience, or 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
1 year of hands on engineering or administration experience for Cisco/Juniper networks, RHEL and Windows OS
1 year of experience with Windows AD, VMWare, or SAN storage systems
1 year of experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment
1 year of experience working with lab environments/processes (Foreign Object Elimination, Electro-Static Discharge, Configuration Management)
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
Current DoD 8570” IAT Level II Certification (such as CompTIA Security+ CE)
Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Experience with VMWare NSX-T, Tanzu, Kubernetes
Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment
Experience with Atlassian tool suite (such as Jira and/or Confluence)
Experience with Certification & Accreditation process and patch management
Current Top Secret clearance
