Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and implementation of full stack financial applications using Java, Spring, and Angular
Provide technical direction to a team of six: full stack developers, QA personnel, and a UX designer
Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Security, and QA to deliver reliable, scalable software
Participate in architecture planning, code reviews, and technical strategy discussions
Develop systems supporting clearing workflows, exchange operations, and financial transaction processing
Establish and maintain engineering best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation
Serve as a key part of the succession plan for future Development Manager responsibilities

Required

7+ years of software engineering experience with primary focus on Java/Spring development
Strong experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks
Background in financial technology—especially clearing, exchange operations, or post-trade systems
Demonstrated experience mentoring or guiding technical teams
Strong architectural thinking and problem-solving ability
Interest in transitioning into a formal engineering leadership role
Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
