Polysomnography Technologist Senior/UKHC

Responsibilities

Registering patients
Gathering patient pre-study paperwork
Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
Explain procedures and interactions to patients
Complete follow-up notes as needed
Perform polysomnography studies and analyze data to assist in obtaining proper diagnosis
Entering charges
Cleaning all study equipment
Administrative and clerical responsibilities for the daily operations of the department

Qualification

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS)Sleep Center experienceCommunication skillsTeamwork

Required

AA
2 yrs
Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT ) or Certified Respiratory Therapist ( CRT ) at time of hire. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist ( RPSGT ) or Sleep Disorders Specialty ( SDS ) required after 1 year of employment
Regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and over 50lbs; and occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs
Communicate technical information about test results to physicians, family members, or researchers. The ability to work interdependently within a healthcare clinic team
