Personal Lines Representative
Premier Group Insurance is one of the largest and fastest growing Property & Casualty agencies in the United States. The Personal Lines Representative will assist and support independent agents in meeting their business objectives and delivering exceptional customer service by providing training and guidance in personal lines insurance practices.
Responsibilities
Lead structured onboarding and ongoing training for agency owners, covering personal lines insurance, carrier appetite, quoting systems, and underwriting guidelines
Develop and deliver training materials, workshops, and virtual sessions focused on business operations, book management, client retention, and cross-selling strategies to enhance agent success
Partner with assigned agents to assess business needs and identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and profitability, while ensuring alignment with carrier expectations, underwriting guidelines, and loss ratio management
Provide strategic consulting on prospecting, quoting, issuing, and servicing personal insurance policies, as well as pipeline development, sales techniques, and client relationship management to drive agency success
Track and analyze agent performance, identifying trends and areas for additional training or support to drive growth
Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions, providing feedback, troubleshooting challenges, and developing action plans to help agents meet or exceed production and profitability goals
Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners, ensuring agents stay informed about product changes, market trends, and underwriting requirements
Represent the organization at industry events, carrier meetings, and professional development opportunities
Continuously evaluate and enhance training programs, tools, and resources, identifying knowledge gaps and recommending process improvements
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies to ensure training remains relevant and shows impact
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must reside in the Greater Denver Metro Area - in-person (hybrid work schedule option after training)
Bi-lingual (Spanish) required!
Active Colorado P&C license also required!
Colorado Licensed in P&C
Personal Lines Insurance – Strong understanding of auto, home, umbrella, and other personal lines insurance products, including coverage options, endorsements, and exclusions
Carrier Appetite & Underwriting Guidelines – Familiarity with multiple carriers' underwriting guidelines, risk selection criteria, and appetite to guide agents in placing business effectively
Quoting & Agency Management Systems – Experience with insurance quoting platforms, rating systems, and agency management tools to support agent proficiency
Business Operations & Sales Strategies – Understanding of agency business models, book of business management, client retention, and cross-selling strategies
Training & Coaching – Ability to design and deliver effective training programs that enhance agent knowledge and performance
Communication & Presentation – Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex insurance concepts clearly and engagingly
Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking – Ability to assess agent needs, identify gaps in knowledge or performance, and provide actionable solutions
Relationship Building – Ability to establish trust and credibility with agents while fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment
Adaptability & Continuous Learning – Ability to adjust training approaches based on agent experience levels, learning styles, and industry changes
Technology Proficiency – Comfortable using digital training tools, virtual meeting platforms, and CRM or agency management software
Influence & Motivate – Encourage agents to adopt best practices and stay committed to their growth and development
Work Independently & Collaboratively – Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with leadership and peers
Prioritize & Manage Multiple Tasks – Ability to balance multiple training sessions, agent needs, and ongoing projects efficiently
Evaluate & Track Agent Performance – Assess agent progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust training plans as needed
Current Colorado P&C license
High school diploma/GED
Minimum two or more (2+) years of Property & Casualty insurance experience in training, sales, or service position
Preferred
Insurance related designation (such as CIC, CPIA, PLCS, AAI, API, CPCU or other)
One (1) year of experience in a consulting or advising role within the insurance industry
Five (5) years+ P&C insurance knowledge – training, sales, or service
Insurance training or Agency sales experience (Preferred, but not required)
Ability to multi-task with accuracy
Quick learner/coachable
Proficiency in EZLynx Management System (Preferred, but not required)
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Ability to learn multiple carrier systems
Ability to think outside of the box and develop tools for Independent Agents
