Senior Financial Analyst - Controllership SEC Reporting
General Motors is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Controllership team, focusing on SEC reporting. This role will be integral in ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of financial information to external regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in accordance with SEC regulations (e.g., Form 10-K, 10-Q)
Assist in the research and interpretation of complex accounting pronouncements and SEC rules, assessing their impact on General Motors' financial reporting
Collaborate with various internal departments (e.g., Legal, Treasury, Accounting Operations) to gather necessary data and ensure consistency in reporting
Support the external audit process by providing timely and accurate documentation and explanations to auditors
Utilize financial systems such as Oracle Hyperion Enterprise data extraction, analysis, and report generation
Develop and maintain robust reporting templates and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the SEC reporting process
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required by management
Leverage Microsoft Power Business Intel to create insightful dashboards and visualizations for financial reporting analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4 years Accounting Experience Required
Proven experience in financial reporting, with specific exposure to SEC reporting requirements
Detail-Oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and precision in financial data
Financial Statement Acumen, including an understanding of GAAP and IFRS principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential
Experience with Microsoft Power Business Intel for data analysis and reporting
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred
CPA preferred
Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle Hyperion Enterprise is highly desired
