Responsibilities

Organize work orders based on priority
Critically analyze each issue
Independently troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or failures
Perform preventative maintenance, inspection, and correction of major and minor repairs on various equipment
Execute essential repairs on gas and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical and electronic systems, brakes, hydraulic systems, suspensions, steering, fuel systems
Complete Federal DOT inspections on commercial vehicles

Required

Experience working with heavy duty equipment and diesel trucks
Ability to critically analyze each issue and independently troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment
At least three or more years of experience with heavy equipment
Worked in a shop for more than 5 years as a diesel mechanic
5+ years experience with Dealer Level Training in Paccar, Cummins and or Detroit
Proficient in using computer systems & applications to accomplish daily tasks
5+ years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks
Ability to perform PM inspections and repairs on heavy duty trucks, transmissions, Hydraulics, brakes, Electrical and Diesel Emissions
