Lead Project Engineer - Anthem Hardware

Responsibilities
Project planning, status, execution, and escalation
LRU hardware development through test, qualification, and TSO
Drive clear communications between Technical leaders and Project Engineers
Optimize the team through procedural improvements and automations
Driving HW/SW quotation estimate efforts and approvals
Facilitating various teams to solutions and agreement
Drive and improve project engineering practices for Hardware, Test & Software groups
Process champion: project-specific operating systems and larger reuse and multi-project considerations
Mentoring junior engineers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Engineering
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
To conform to U.S. Government technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred
General knowledge of aerospace products and support within hardware-based projects
Familiarity with Hardware design, testing, certification
Previous engineering experience in relevant Systems or Hardware design
Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application, within Aero and the larger industry
Good people skills and the ability to work effectively with other engineering organizations and contract manufactures as needed
Prior experience as a people manager
Being a catalyst for whole-team engagement and drive-to-completion
Diverse teaming and collaboration/facilitation skills
Champion for continuous Project Engineering skill development and support staffing/training
Trusted Advisor relationship with Customers
Influence others to accept new concepts, practices, deploy new approaches
Significant experience in engineering, especially familiarity with Platform/Anthem Hardware/Software processes and practices
Global workforce and virtual teaming expertise
