Sr. Right-of-Way Agent
Doyle Land Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Right-of-Way Agent to plan and coordinate the acquisition of easements and permits for energy distribution systems. The role involves negotiating with landowners, managing relationships, and coordinating with various stakeholders on land acquisition projects.
Responsibilities
Negotiate the acquisition of easements, fee property, and access roads for the installation of energy distribution facilities
Interpret and explain job sketches and routing issues
Coordinate with engineering and construction personnel on routing issues pertinent to landowner negotiations
Investigate existing easements and encumbrances
Resolve conflicts and manage relationships between landowners and pipeline company
Service existing easements for Releases and Consent and Indemnity Agreements involving encroachments
Coordinate with outside attorneys and appraisers on land issues
Perform administrative tasks including creation and approval of associated forms and documents
Coordinate construction schedule and negotiate damage settlements
Qualification
Required
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Ability to read, write and understand both verbal and written instructions
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong public relations skills including the ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with landowners and the general public to negotiate land acquisition agreements
A valid driver's license with a history of a safe driving record
Ability to obtain a notary public certification
Ability to work in both office and field conditions
Ability to work closely with various project disciplines / departments to coordinate easement requirements
The ability to work with crucial information effectively and efficiently
Experience with negotiating practices
Ability to comprehensively interpret legal documents
Ability to travel extensively throughout the state for extended periods
