Responsibilities
Designing, building, and maintaining our mission critical analytics infrastructure
Working with a cross functional team to write technical design documents
Creating system infrastructure
Writing high quality code
Operating large scale systems in production
Reviewing other engineer’s designs and code
Providing technical mentorship to other engineers on the team and in the broader engineering organization
Qualification
Required
BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in a software engineering discipline
Highly skilled in using at least one modern programming language
Experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform or a similar infrastructure as code tool
Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in a cloud computing environment
Experience using Linux operating systems
Experience with OLTP and OLAP databases
Experience with high volume data processing and storage systems
Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
Able to work with others on a team
Able to learn continuously and adapt to a high growth environment
Able to stick with and solve difficult problems
