Responsibilities

Performs Special Inspections of Structural
Performs visual inspections (VT) of Structural welds to ensure that it conforms to applicable standards
Perform Nondestructive Testing in following methods; Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant testing (PT)
Inspect structural steel/bolting to applicable codes
Basic computer skills and related technology
Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc
Prepares daily reports and information for clients
Operates with moderate supervision

Qualification

Nondestructive Testing CertificationICC Structural Steel Welding CertificationProficient in reading blueprintsAmerican Welding Society CertificationBasic computer skillsCommunication skills

Required

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficient in reading drawings, plans, and/or blueprints
Nondestructive Testing Certification ASNT Level I or II Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
ICC Structural Steel Welding and Bolting Certification
Ability to communicate professionally, orally and in writing
Basic computer skills and related technology
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record. Drug-free workplace
Perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbs
Ability to operate aerial lifts and work at heights
Possess sufficient stamina to work in an outdoor (hot & cold) environment

Preferred

Current American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector Certification preferred
