Metrolina Greenhouses INC is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee the daily operations of their Human Resources department. This role involves managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Provides guidance and assistance to employees and management regarding interpretation, compliance, and enforcement of Human Resource policies and procedures, state and federal laws including ADA, FMLA and Workers Compensation

Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Provides support and guidance when sensitive questions and issues arise

Provides support regarding job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution

Investigates allegations of wrongdoing and wrongful terminations

Assures company policies are administered fairly and consistently

Collaborates on the design and delivery of HR training materials, including presentations, videos, publications, and reference documents

Compiles data and identifies trends regarding employee experience

Encourages engagement through employee relations activities

Required

A degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Comprehensive knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities

Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality

Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote, and PowerPoint, and skilled in using a Windows-based computer system

Fluency in the English language and the ability to see, speak, hear, read, and write are required

The ability to travel by all means of transportation and to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business needs is required

Must be able to lift and push up to 20lbs unassisted

Must be able to walk, squat, twist, bend, reach, climb stairs and/or step stools under 5 feet on occasion
