Veterans Service Officer (VSO)
NEOGOV is seeking a Veterans Service Officer (VSO) to support the Mississippi Veteran Affairs mission of honoring veterans and their dependents. The role involves evaluating benefit and eligibility programs, auditing processes, and advocating in appeals processes as needed.

Responsibilities
Evaluates the effectiveness of benefit and eligibility programs by auditing processes and reporting findings to the stakeholder
Demonstrates competence within their area of expertise and serves as a resource for solving complex problems involving multiple programs or issues
Coordinates benefits across multiple programs or reconciles benefits in programs involving both state and federal laws and regulations
May advocate in an appeals process
May be required to perform case management work
Qualification
Required
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a cohesive team
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of experience
