FSQA/HR Coordinator

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including new hire paperwork, performance records, benefits, and compliance documents
Assisting with recruitment and onboarding requirements
Ensure HR practices align with legal requirements (e.g., labor laws, privacy standards)
Assist with HR audits as needed
Timekeeping support and assistance to management
Act as point of contact for employee inquiries on HR related topics, directing them to appropriate resources or departments
Assist with benefits enrollment and answer general benefits questions
Maintaining communications between staffing agency and main HR department
Addressing worker needs as they relate to employee relations with the support of broader HR team
Supporting management through the day-to-day needs of employee issues
Invoice Generation to customers
Receiver of invoices from vendors
General financial assistance with SMC PA team
Document review: responsible for Food Safety document review and generation of corrective actions
Microbiological sampling: responsible for carrying out environmental program, customer COA requirements
Quality Checks: monitor effectiveness of quality checks completed by South Mill employees
Internal audits: participate in internal audits, generate work orders, provide feedback to responsible areas
Standard Operating Procedures: identify gaps that require procedures, develop procedures as needed, maintain accuracy of current procedures
Cleaning effectiveness: utilize ATP swabs to validate cleaning, maintain trend database
Coordinate the efforts of employees in compliance with all GMP’s as specified in company and customer guidelines
Review and revise all Food Safety plans with the cooperation of area managers and Food Safety Systems Manager
Maintain and coordinate annual refresher trainings for all production employees
Re-assessment of Food Safety Program with collaboration from Food Safety Systems Manager
Prepare for and assist with 3rd party audits
Train employees to comply with customer requirements
Maintain Food Safety documents
Oversee Food Safety and Quality programs across multiple facilities, ensuring consistent execution of company, regulatory, customer, and GFSI standards through alignment of FSQA teams
Provide guidance and support to facility FSQA Technicians, ensuring accurate document review, environmental monitoring, and completion of CAPAs
Analyze regional performance trends from internal audits, microbiological results, and quality checks to identify areas for improvement and drive uniform best practices across all sites
Lead regional audit readiness and compliance initiatives, partnering with Operations and the headquarters FSQA leaders to strengthen food safety culture and ensure sustainable certification and customer compliance
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma preferred
Capable of being a quick learner with proper onboarding and mentoring
Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and responsibilities
Excellent communication skills
Attention to details
Excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in entering and managing data accurately
Flexibility to manage a variety of tasks across different departments, adjusting priorities as necessary to meet shifting needs
Skill in identifying and resolving minor administrative or compliance issues proactively and efficiently
Ability to build positive working relationships with team members, employees, and external stakeholders
The position is required to travel at least 60% of the time
Favorable screenings result pertinent to this position is required, including but not limited to MVR, background checks
