Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Civil CAD Design Technician to join their Civil/Site Discipline in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves performing design, drafting, and project-related tasks, transforming basic survey data into CADD-produced drawings using appropriate software.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings

Work from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces

Conform to the company’s standard CAD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout

Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion

Coordinates details and dimensions between drawing sheets

Prepare project exhibits

Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased

Prepare CAD files for authorized media release to external parties / agencies

Qualification

AutoCAD Civil 3DAutoCADGeneral computer skillsTechnical school certificateEnglish proficiency

Required

High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD

1-2+ years of relevant experience

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other related software

Demonstrate general computer skills, knowledge, and acumen (i.e., familiarity with Microsoft Office, etc.)

Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
