Assistant Professor - Regional Dairy Business and Economic Development - Notice of Filing
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking an Assistant Professor specializing in Dairy Business and Economic Development. The successful candidate will develop a research and outreach program to support Wisconsin dairy producers and contribute to teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities
Collaborate on developing externally-funded research focusing on regional dairy business and economic development, with a focus on putting systems in place to benefit the dairy industry
Integrate research results into outreach education programs on issues identified as needs of the state and its residents
Document the impacts of research, teaching, and outreach efforts and communicate these impacts to stakeholders, the general public, and professional colleagues
Demonstrate commitment to the purpose, vision, and values of the Dairy Innovation Hub, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and the well-being of Wisconsin and its residents
Teach as an Assistant Professor to stakeholders (e.g., students, educators, civic groups, boards, farmers) throughout the state of Wisconsin. Contribute to the department's mission through undergraduate student instruction and mentoring. Contribute research expertise to courses taught in the department and across campus
Be of service to the department, college, and campus communities
Qualification
Required
Master's of Science in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Education, or related field
OR Ph.D. in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Education, or related field
OR Master's of Business Administration
Evidence of at least two years of relevant industry experience in technical services OR at least two years of research in regional dairy business and economic development and securing competitive research funding
Evidence of excellence in teaching at the college/university level. As a minimum, one year of teaching experience while in a Master's or Ph.D. program
Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills
Enthusiasm for professional engagement with students in a variety of settings
