Chief Programs Officer
Warrior-Scholar Project is an organization that partners with colleges and universities to support veterans in their transition to higher education. The Chief Programs Officer (CPO) will lead the development and execution of programming, collaborate with the executive team, and ensure quality and alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Working closely with fellow WSP leaders, set and execute the strategic plan for improving existing programming and growing new programming, ensuring plans and processes are aligned with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors vision
Advise the CEO on matters pertaining to strategic and functional aspects of planning, strategy, execution, and analysis of efforts and results
Oversee cross-functional, organization-wide projects and initiatives, and synchronize internal and external stakeholders to help drive important processes and decisions
Assist in identifying, evaluating, supporting, and hiring personnel
Develop and manage processes to ensure quality of programs in order to meet strategic goals
Supervise and empower the Director of Education, Director of Admissions, and Director of Alumni Programs to plan and execute all student-facing WSP programming, including academic boot camps, workshops, student engagement, alumni services, and programmatic marketing
In coordination with the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Director of Finance, oversee the programmatic budget development and tracking
In coordination with the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) and development staff, manage spending in adherence with any applicable restricted grant funding and provide impact data needed for funder reports
Assist the CEO in stewarding external programmatic partnerships, including partnerships with colleges and universities, veteran service organizations, governmental organizations, and WSP sponsors

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
5+ years of direct supervisory experience required; nonprofit management experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of military culture and veteran's affairs required; veteran or military spouse preferred
Sophisticated knowledge of the higher education landscape required
Strong diplomatic, negotiation, and consensus building skills required
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
Excellent oral and written communication skills with diverse audiences required
Strong organizational, time management, and administrative skills required
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and make data-informed decisions required
Proficiency in relevant business technology platforms required
Strong commitment to WSP's values required
