Human Resources/Accounts Payable Manager
Picasso Pawn is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resource/Accounts Payable Manager to join their dynamic team. This role provides administrative and operational support across human resources and accounting functions, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of records while managing employee benefits and accounts payable tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
Answer frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, and benefits
Manage employee benefits (i.e., open enrollment, insurance benefits, 401(k))
Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all human resource files and records
Conduct periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
Provide clerical support to the HR department
Support with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors
Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers
Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
Support HR employee related matters (i.e., investigations, documentation, etc.)
Follow up and submit worker comp claims
Follow up with unemployment claims
Prepare for yearly workers comp audit
Assist with basic accounting tasks utilizing QuickBooks, including accounts payable, account receivables, invoicing and expense tracking
Ensure invoices and outstanding bills are paid
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, Accounting and Payroll or Associate Degree in Human Resources or similar field of study preferred
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Paychex
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Must demonstrate high ethical values
Able to prioritize work, complete accurately, and meet deadlines
Excellent time management skills
Self motivated
Ability to analyze data
Planning / organizing – prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Work well independently and as a team
