Student Assistant Software Developer

The Ohio State University is seeking a Student Assistant Software Developer to join the Ohio Supercomputer Center team. This position will help develop web-based interfaces for advanced computational resources and support the Open OnDemand project, providing valuable experience in software development and client relations.

Responsibilities

Help develop and support 'science gateways,' web-based interfaces for advanced computational resources
Support specific gateways for OSC clients and projects
Contribute to the Open OnDemand (OOD) project
Designing, developing, and testing web and Linux applications and web services that leverage OSC resources
Develop documentation and maintain client and collaborator relationships
Work as part of a team on the entire development life cycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance

Required

Pursuing a technology-related degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Eligible to work in export-controlled environment

Preferred

Able to work at least 10 hours per week during the academic term and at least 20 during breaks
Preferred customer service experience
Prefer a 2nd or 3rd year student
