Principal / Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer
Northrop Grumman is a trusted provider of mission-enabling solutions for global security, seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer to join their Specialty Engineering Team. The successful candidate will support logistics engineering activities throughout various phases of program development, ensuring mission readiness and effective maintenance solutions.

Responsibilities
Support logistics engineering activities and assist as a technical resource from a program’s concept and proposal phases through development, test, production, and post-production support phases
Support logistics design influence efforts and activities necessary to meet system performance requirements
Analyze and interpret technical data (e.g., drawings, manuals, specifications, etc.) to develop technical and logistics data
Create/update relevant reports such as task analysis, maintenance plans, or provisioning requirements reports
Perform/develop/update Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
Develop maintenance concepts to ensure the most affordable and effective mission readiness solution
Support activities that sustain the operation and maintenance of systems to ensure mission readiness
Be an engaged and versatile team member of the Integrated Logistics Support team seeking to continuously improve upon existing practices
Utilize engineering background and analytical skills and knowledge of a wide array of industry tools used to conduct Logistics analysis and provide status to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) on a regular basis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with Masters. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Experience in logistics or life cycle support environments
Experience in developing/generating various types of logistics supportability analysis
Knowledge of Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Life Cycle Cost Analysis modeling
PC mastery with Microsoft Windows Office Products, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation skills and ability to interface directly with internal program office and external customer
U.S. citizenship
The ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance within a timeframe acceptable to management
Ability to work full-time onsite at the Woodland Hills, CA facility

Experience in logistics or life cycle support environments
Experience in developing/generating various types of logistics supportability analysis
Knowledge of Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Life Cycle Cost Analysis modeling
PC mastery with Microsoft Windows Office Products, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required

Preferred
Master's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university
Experience in military maintenance and sustainment support
Engineering design background generating new designs, models, and drawings
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives that drive change in an organization
Experience supporting procurement activities to meet demanding build schedules
Experience developing LSA products in accordance with MIL-STD-1388, GEIA-STD-0007 or MIL-PRF-49506 in LSA database tools such as EAGLE or SLICwave
Experience with Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation
Previous experience using LSA data to develop either technical data, technical publications, Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETMs), or training products
Possess active DoD Security Clearance (investigation completed within last 5 years)
