Gotham Technology Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operations & Architecture Leader to oversee and modernize enterprise infrastructure operations. Responsibilities

Own and execute the strategy and day-to-day operations for enterprise network, datacenter, compute, storage, backup, and collaboration platforms

Partner with architecture and infrastructure leadership to define and deliver multi-year technology roadmaps

Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, best practices, and governance frameworks

Drive modernization initiatives focused on scalability, resiliency, security, automation, and observability

Lead and mentor cross-functional infrastructure teams, including network engineering, network security, virtualization, compute, storage, automation, and collaboration platforms

Promote a culture of automation, self-service, infrastructure-as-code, and SRE principles

Oversee operational handoffs from engineering to production, ensuring smooth transitions and sustained service quality

Serve as Incident Commander for major infrastructure incidents and outages

Lead infrastructure automation initiatives using CI/CD pipelines, network automation platforms, and service catalogs

Improve MTTR, availability, and operational transparency through monitoring, observability, and proactive alerting

Drive vulnerability remediation, privileged access management, and compliance initiatives in regulated environments

Implement advanced security architectures including microsegmentation, zero-trust principles, and environment isolation

Lead datacenter consolidation, migration, and resilience initiatives, including site recovery and disaster recovery testing

Design and operate hybrid infrastructure spanning on-prem and cloud environments

Oversee enterprise network architecture, including SD-WAN, IPAM, and global connectivity

Support office buildouts and global site deployments

Manage strategic vendor relationships, negotiate SLAs, and ensure contractual compliance

Oversee and optimize infrastructure budgets (multi-million-dollar scale), delivering cost savings and operational efficiencies

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives

Required

20+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure operations, architecture, or engineering roles

Proven leadership experience managing large, multi-disciplinary infrastructure teams

Deep expertise across: Network architecture, operations, and security, Datacenter infrastructure (compute, storage, backup), Hybrid cloud environments, Automation, observability, and reliability engineering

Strong experience acting as incident commander for major enterprise outages

Demonstrated success delivering large-scale infrastructure transformations, consolidations, and integrations

Experience operating in regulated or audit-driven environments

Strong decision-making ability with a hands-on, accountable leadership style
