AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER (T32)
The District of Columbia Air National Guard is seeking an Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic Leader at Joint Base Andrews, MD. This role involves leading personnel in the maintenance of aircraft ordnance and electronic systems, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Responsibilities
Provides direction and advice to resolve problems on aircraft ordnance and electronic systems on fighter aircraft
Monitors work of assigned personnel, sets the work pace, conveys work assignments, and ensures that materials, tools, equipment, and stock are available
Coordinates and works with weapon system mechanics and specialists performing journey level work
Serves as a technical advisor by answering questions regarding appropriate procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives
Assures that all safety, housekeeping, security, and other environmental rules and procedures are followed in the shop and the flight line
Advises the supervisor of overall work operations, status and progress of work, causes for delays, problems encountered, and individual performance
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Military membership in the District of Columbia Air National Guard is required
Minimum Military Rank: E-6 /TSgt
Maximum Military Rank: E-7/MSgt
Valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed
Possess or be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) within one (1) year of appointment
Experience or training which demonstrates the applicant's ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components
Ability to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering drawings
Experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks
Experience demonstrating the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly related to the repair function of this occupational series
Ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment
Ability to guide others in work related directly to this occupational series

Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
