Material Coordinator

Daifuku Airport America Corporation is a subsidiary of Daifuku North America, the largest material handling company in the world. They are seeking an experienced Material Coordinator to plan and schedule projects and production efficiently while ensuring material conformance and improving processes.

Industrial Automation

Responsibilities

Continuously evaluate the production process and identify opportunities for improvement
Schedule and Plan production batch sizes and workflow for projects
Coordinate with shop to produce material in a cost efficient and effective manner
Generate daily or weekly production reports
Collects and analyzes data on current orders, production levels, and sales forecast to estimate future demand of materials and production
Run and analyze material shortage lists
Provide support for Engineering and Shop personnel and Project Management
Support and participate in the company quality process
Communicate between other departments as required
Coordinate with shop to produce material in a cost efficient and effective manner
Expedite work orders for special projects
Coordinate other departments to obtain product information
Retrieve information and literature on new products
Dealing with issues on parts in production which are defective
Assist with logistics scheduling and documentation management as needed
Perform other work-related duties as required

Required

Associates Degree or 2 - 5 years' experience in a design to order manufacturing environment
SAP/ MRP experience required
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft office products required
Knowledge/experience of manufacturing process required
English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others
Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of you, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
Verbal and Written Expression and Recognition — The ability to listen to, understand and communicate information and ideas presented through spoken or written words and sentences
Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations)
Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
