New Grad, Entry LevelCooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Civil/Structural Designer I for a top Engineering & Design-Build client in Akron, OH. This role provides critical support to engineering project teams through design drafting, 3D modeling, and field data collection.
Logistics & Supply Chain
Responsibilities
Support engineering teams by creating detailed civil and structural design layouts using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Navisworks
Assist in developing foundations, structural framing, and site-specific features that comply with applicable codes and constructability standards
Travel to client sites to collect measurements, elevations, and interpret existing field conditions for accurate model development
Actively learn and apply modern methodologies, including BIM, laser scanning, and GPS surveying
Collaborate across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated project outcomes and deliverables
Maintain rigorous accuracy in all drawings, identifying and correcting design discrepancies early in the process
Navigate industrial facilities safely during field visits and promote a culture of safety in all drafting and field activities
Qualification
Required
Experience with AutoCAD
Experience with Civil 3D
Experience with Revit
Experience with Navisworks
Ability to create detailed civil and structural design layouts
Ability to assist in developing foundations, structural framing, and site-specific features
Ability to travel to client sites for field data collection
Ability to actively learn and apply modern methodologies including BIM, laser scanning, and GPS surveying
Ability to collaborate across disciplines for project outcomes
