Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate contractual documents to achieve acceptable risk levels
Draft settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, change orders, and other contractual terms and conditions
Advise management on contractual and legal risks
Lead claims handling and litigation support for projects in execution
Support corporate and compliance matters
Assist Business Partners with business strategy and planning
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate required. Must be admitted to practice law in one or more states
Minimum of 5+ years of directly relevant legal experience in a law firm or corporate in-house position
Strong negotiation skills, detail/customer oriented, able to handle multiple projects at the same time
Pragmatic approach to problem solving and strong flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities
Team player who can work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Able to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of associates as well as senior executives
Excellent communication, writing, and facilitation skills
Commercial transactions and litigation experience required
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Preferred
Energy or industrial industry experience
Spanish is a plus
