Responsibilities

Identify, contact, and persuade prospective clients (even reluctant, hesitant, or time-starved) clients to join the Wiland Cooperative Database and sell MarketSignals data products. This entails calling (including “cold” calls) and coordinating ongoing communication with prospective clients to win a meeting to sell Wiland Solutions (Cooperative Database membership and services and MarketSignals)
Utilize a well-established network of nonprofit leaders, agencies, brokers, consultants, and ecosystem partners to rapidly open doors, generate qualified opportunities, and shorten sales cycles
Discern and perceive possible objections of prospective clients quickly, and then clearly and articulately address those concerns in a way that puts put the potential client at ease, overcomes objections, and leads the prospect to either join the Wiland Corporative Database or use our MarketSignals data products
Confidently present to and influence senior leadership and C-suite executives at large nonprofit organizations, clearly articulating Wiland’s value proposition and addressing complex business and data-driven concerns
Meet with prospective clients in phone conferences, online meetings, and face-to-face to address questions or concerns and persuade such prospects to join Wiland. The position requires travels which varies seasonally, but is approximately 50% on an annual basis. In addition to meeting with prospective clients, travel also includes trade shows, conferences, etc. The goal of travel is to establish a positive rapport and build a relationship with potential clients and continually provide professional, positive exposure to Wiland at all meetings

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field or equivalent work experience. Must be able to produce college transcripts showing minimum 3.0 GPA if applicable
12+ years of successful new business sales experience, with a strong track record of closing complex, relationship-driven data deals
8+ years of direct experience in the nonprofit sector, with demonstrable, established relationships across nonprofit organizations and related service providers
Proven ability to leverage an existing nonprofit network to generate revenue quickly
8+ years presenting at major nonprofit conferences and selling to executive and C-suite audiences
