Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and NDAs
Enhance Empathy’s privacy program to comply with various privacy laws and regulations (such as CPRA, HIPAA) and provide ongoing guidance on data protection and privacy issues
Collaborate closely with teams across the organization (such as Sales, Finance, Product, R&D, Client Success) to address legal needs and implement best practices
Build out Empathy’s legal roadmap for entering new markets and execute roadmap implementation
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the company’s operations

Required

Bachelor's law degree and qualification to practice law in Israel or in the U.S
3+ years of commercial law experience in a commercial or hi-tech department at a law firm, or serving as in-house counsel at a tech company
Experience and comfort with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (such as CPRA, U.S. state laws, HIPAA) – an advantage
Corporate legal experience – an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
