Hut 8 is on a mission to build and operate some of the world's largest data centers for next-generation computing workloads. As an Associate, Project Engineer, you will support the lead engineer in all phases of the facility development lifecycle, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on the design and engineering of custom cooling solutions, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards

Use engineering drawings to create Requests for Proposals (RFPs), perform quantity takeoffs, and determine Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement

Manage procurement processes, including vendor sourcing, material selection, and supply chain coordination to meet timelines and budgets

Interface with internal and external design engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and iterate on system designs

Assist in commissioning activities, including system testing, integration, and performance validation

Develop and compile commissioning documentation, such as as-built drawings, test reports, and handover packages

Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cooling system maintenance and troubleshooting

Train operational teams on system functionality, safety protocols, and best practices post-commissioning

Manage contractors on-site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project standards

Identify and resolve issues during manufacturing, construction, or operations through proactive problem-solving and root-cause analysis
