Director of Compliance (EHS & Quality)
LHH is a leading U.S. manufacturing organization seeking a Director of Compliance (EHS & Quality) to oversee company-wide Safety, Quality, and Compliance programs. This role involves providing strategic leadership to ensure safe operations and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement and supporting operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Oversee the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure adherence across all facilities
Lead initiatives that maintain compliance with internal policies, customer guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards
Ensure “right‑first‑time” practices to support consistent product quality and operational reliability
Manage company‑wide OSHA reporting and compliance activities
Develop proactive safety programs to support an injury‑free workplace
Conduct safety inspections, facilitate safety meetings, and deliver employee training
Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Support safety equipment selection, implementation, and ongoing evaluation
Generate, analyze, and report safety and quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Support cost‑reduction and product‑enhancement initiatives while maintaining compliance and safety standards
Drive accountability for vendor performance and quality expectations
Ensure timely resolution of customer feedback and quality‑related concerns
Partner with plant leadership and senior management to align safety and quality initiatives with organizational goals
Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders regarding quality, compliance, and operational needs
Foster a customer‑focused mindset for both internal and external stakeholders
Develop and deliver new hire safety orientation programs
Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, SOPs, and customer‑specific standards across all sites
Stay current on regulatory updates and industry best practices through association memberships and professional networks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Background in manufacturing operations, quality systems, and logistics environments
Experience with GMP, SQF, and EHS programs across multiple facilities
Experience developing company‑wide EHS programs and SOPs
Ability to travel 50%+ to support multiple plant locations
Preferred
PMP certification preferred
LEAN/Continuous Improvement experience preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
