Responsibilities

Perform IBM i administration, including system installs, PTF deployment, and HMC maintenance
Perform system firmware, software installation, configuration, and security requirements
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes
Review system logs, application logs, and verify the successful completion of scheduled jobs, such as backups
Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution, and follow-up for system, application, and customer problems
Provide monthly reporting regarding system performance and assist with capacity planning requirements
Maintain 3rd party software applications and participate in Disaster Recovery testing
