Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy robust, maintainable Java/Spring Boot services in containerized environments on AWS
Support and enhance existing legacy systems alongside modern microservices
Partner directly with portfolio managers to understand requirements, explain system behavior, and deliver timely solutions, often under tight deadlines
Contribute to the integration of new Python-based analytics workflows (experience with NumPy/Pandas is a plus)
Balance immediate business needs with long-term system health by making pragmatic, well-reasoned trade-offs
Work iteratively in an agile environment with frequent releases and close business collaboration
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional software development experience (ideally 6–8+ years)
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
Expertise in Java and Spring Boot
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar)
Familiarity with RESTful/service-oriented architectures
Experience with modern dev tools: Git, Jira, Jenkins (or equivalents)
Excellent communication—able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Curious and collaborative mindset with a focus on learning and team success
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile setting with evolving priorities
Preferred
Hands-on experience with Python, NumPy, and Pandas
Exposure to financial instruments, portfolio math, or risk/return analytics
