Responsibilities
Responsible for estimating and managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate cost estimates
Analyze and interpret project blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs
Prepare take-offs, the scope of work, and bid packages for commercial construction projects
Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotes
Analyze bid results and prepare detailed proposals and cost estimates for clients
Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction to project completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
Monitor project progress and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and project team members to ensure that project goals are met
Develop project leads
Coordinate and manage all projects and activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
Ensure that project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports, is completed accurately and on time
Qualification
Required
Minimum education level of a bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
At least 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in waterproofing or restoration
Proven experience in estimating and managing construction projects from start to finish
Understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
A high degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project)
Excellent negotiation and client-facing communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership and management skills
Preferred
Experience with Specialty Contractors or a 'Self-Performing' contractor
