Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary from performing one procedure or work instruction to a number of analytical microbiological or quality system procedures or work instructions in a Food Safety Laboratory
Team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency and growth after training
The individual will need to demonstrate proficiency using the LIMS system by successfully utilizing log-in batch action and result entry screens
Ability to perform complex work instructions and or operate sophisticated equipment without close supervision; able to work independently and resolve routine problems; assist in the planning development method modification validation and evaluation of new or existing testing applications and test results; ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; maintain ISO records for process control; will be expected to cross-train and be capable of substituting for absent team members in specific areas and comply with quality system and safety requirements; other duties as assigned

Required

A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform complex work instructions and or operate sophisticated equipment without close supervision
Able to work independently and resolve routine problems
Assist in the planning development method modification validation and evaluation of new or existing testing applications and test results
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Maintain ISO records for process control
Will be expected to cross-train and be capable of substituting for absent team members in specific areas
Comply with quality system and safety requirements
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent
Working knowledge of LabWare LIMS database applications
This position will require working rotational weekends and scheduled holidays

Preferred

Prefer college-level courses or degree in Biology Microbiology Chemistry Food Science and/or Physical Sciences
