Responsibilities
Become an expert in Tempus multimodal clinical and genomic data
Leverage Tempus's multi-modal data to identify patient cohorts for academic research partners who are building new machine learning enabled biomarkers
Drive customer-focused improvements to the Tempus data model by collaborating with Tempus’ Data Science, Model Query, and Engineering teams
Collaborate with Research, Engineering & Data Science teams to develop and deliver innovative database solutions
Document, summarize, and communicate data model, highly technical results, and methods to external technical and non-technical audiences
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree or equivalent experience in data science, computer science, healthcare informatics, statistics, or another related STEM field
2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably involving work with Life Science or Healthcare data an analytical or consulting role within or in support of the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry
Strong command of SQL and/or other scripting languages to retrieve data from various bioinformatics databases
Strong proficiency in R or Python and/or other programming languages
Excellent project management skills, with proven ability to execute complex projects with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
Experience with engineering practices for research computing (Docker, Git, and Github, code review, Linux, cloud computing)
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Experience in real-world data and/or next-generation sequencing
Genomic data background and experience
Experience with AWS and/or Bigquery and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
