Civil/Site Engineering Designer II
Colliers Engineering & Design is dedicated to shaping communities through innovative land development projects. As a Civil/Site Engineering Designer II, you will be responsible for performing design tasks related to civil engineering construction projects, including grading, drainage design, and stormwater management, while collaborating with a talented team to deliver projects effectively.

Responsibilities
Perform design tasks, such as conceptual planning, detailed grading, and drainage designs associated with civil engineering construction projects
Prepare stormwater management calculations including developing basin routings, channel design, and inlet capacity calculations
Generate pipe profiles and review stormwater designs based on project constraints
Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions to peers and management
Produce construction drawings, plans, and cost estimates
Prepare PADEP Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 permits, including: NPDES permits, General Permits, and other technical aspects of the regulatory permitting process
Develop Erosion & Sedimentation Pollution Control (E&SPC) and Post-Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) plan sets and reports
Conform to the company’s standard AutoCAD procedures for layering, details, etc
Provide technical support to more senior staff
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
2-4 years of civil engineering experience
Demonstrated AutoCAD Civil 3D skills with the ability to design from concept plans through construction plans
Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Experience in land development
Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
Preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification
Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development related designs
