Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a talented CAD Design Technician III to join their dynamic Civil/Site Discipline. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, transform raw survey data into polished CADD drawings, and contribute to the development of project deliverables that help shape communities and skylines.

Responsibilities

Prepare and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings

Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces

Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates

Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans

Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas

Prepare concept layout plans

Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design

Conform to the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout

Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion

Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets

Prepare project exhibits

Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased

Prepare CAD files for authorized media release to external parties / agencies

Qualification

AutoCADCivil 3DCADD proceduresGeneral computer skillsEnglish proficiency

Required

High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD

5+ years of relevant experience

Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other related software

Demonstrate general computer skills, knowledge, and acumen (i.e., familiarity with Microsoft Office, etc.)

Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
