Responsibilities
Oversee and manage relationships with a variety of health plans, with a primary focus on Medicare and Medicaid
Expertly complete credentialing applications and contracts with health plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance, particularly with regard to Medicare requirements
Guide and support our physicians in completing required documentation, specifically addressing any Medicare-specific needs
Meticulously track the progress of credentialing and contracting applications, providing regular updates to leadership, with an emphasis on meeting Medicare deadlines and standards
Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure business goals are met, while maintaining a strong understanding of how Medicare regulations impact those goals
Strategically improve and streamline the provider licensing function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, with a focus on optimizing processes for Medicare providers
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in credentialing, with demonstrated expertise in all aspects of the Medicare program
Must have direct experience working with CMS or a company contracted by CMS as a Medicare administrative contractor
Proven ability to solve problems and identify solutions within the context of Medicare regulations
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, especially when handling Medicare-related information
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex Medicare information to various stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, prioritizing those related to Medicare compliance
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
