Desktop Support Specialist
Responsibilities
Provide desktop support services, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and resolving technical problems
Deliver exceptional customer service, interacting directly with end-users to understand and address their IT-related needs and concerns
Utilize IT knowledge to tackle a wide range of technical challenges, serving as a "jack of all trades" in the desktop support realm
Occasionally engage in physical tasks, which may involve lifting up to 50 lbs
Be prepared for occasional travel, estimated at 10% of the time, to provide on-site support at various locations as needed
Maintain regular working hours of 40 hours per week, with flexibility for overtime as required
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a help desk or troubleshooting role
Strong IT working knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
Adaptability and willingness to tackle a variety of technical challenges
Ability to occasionally perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs
Flexibility for occasional travel, estimated at 10% of the time
Must be based in Houston and available for 100% on-site work
Preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a help desk or troubleshooting capacity
