Responsibilities
Develop and execute First Article Inspections, including measurement of parts to provide complete and accurate reports
Develop and execute capability studies, as required to support the Project Team
Work closely with the Quality Engineer to ensure a timely and efficient FAIR schedule and turnaround time
Develop CMM & Vision System programs to ensure accuracy of reporting and prepare them for long-term In-Process use
Interpret Blueprints and Engineering specifications, including GD&T
Inspect sample parts, dimensionally and visually, according to the inspection plans already in place and communicate regularly with Process Engineer(s)
Create and update inspection plans as required
Support In-Process Inspectors with receiving inspection, calibration and in-process inspection(s) as needed
Develop and implement calibration of new gauges
Develop and execute Special Projects as assigned by Quality Engineer/Quality Manager
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, or equivalent, and minimum of 5 years related to similar role experience
Proficient in CMM and Vision System programming
Knowledgeable in the use of all inspection equipment
Able to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Basic knowledge of SPC and control charting
Proficient computer skills
Must have good mathematical skills
Knowledge of both English and Metric systems
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and follow through
Repetitive lifting of items up to 50lbs. Ability to stand, walk, or sit to extended periods of time
