Responsibilities
Engaging with stakeholders to drive & lead execution against effective project plans, anticipate potential issues, and provide structured solutions to ensure a successful client engagement
Leading a work stream or component of a project, taking responsibility for the creation of client deliverables by facilitating client interviews and workshops, performing analysis in Excel, synthesizing clear insights from complex information, and developing content that clearly articulates recommendations
Developing meaningful and successful relationships with clients and vendors by understanding the different needs of stakeholders and establishing a high degree of credibility internally and externally
Supporting Alpha Alternative’s broader business evolution, including co-authoring whitepapers and performing market research to identify opportunities for Alpha
Maintaining a broad understanding of the challenges facing the industry and knowledge of relevant issues and trends within one or more of Alpha Alternative’s practice areas
Qualification
Required
At least 4 years of relevant experience in financial services consulting or internal advisory / strategy roles within financial institutions
Demonstrated experience delivering advisory-led engagements, including operating model design, strategic transformation, or technology-enabled change
Proven experience advising or working within investment management, private markets, or similarly complex financial services organizations
Robust Microsoft Office capability, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent consulting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with recognized project/change and consulting frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex analysis into clear client messaging
Effective task and time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities across concurrent engagements
Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with a track record of building collaborative relationships internally and with clients
Appetite to support clients across our practice areas
Intellectual capacity and ability to think in new, innovative ways to understand complex issues and develop creative solutions
Flexibility to travel if required
Preferred
Familiarity with private markets (credit, equity, or real assets) or the wider investment management industry preferred
